Exaltation (Hallelujah)
18"x24" Acrylic on Canvas
Otero 2010

Assignment 4. Figurative. I was inspired by the sounds of Joseph Israel ( http://www.myspace.com/josephisrael ) and wanted to do something cool with it. Reading from his head to the top of the canvas (from right to left) says: Praise, Exaltation, Praise, Exalt the KingYeshua, Praise Yeshua, Halleluyah, Praise (be to) YHWH

Rock of Horeb
24"x36" Acrylic on Canvas
Otero 2010
The Rock of Horeb struck by Moses to give water to the israelites (Exodus 17:6).
The actual place was found in Jabal al Lawz in Saudi Arabia. This area was found by Ron Wyatt, Larry Williams and Bob Cornuke, and the Caldwell family(Jim and Penny Caldwell). Cornuke stated: "One of the most startling discoveries at Jabal al Lawz was a massive, prominent, split rock on the west side of Jabal al Lawz, which showed evidence of gushing water from within - jagged rocks that had been smoothed off by an abundant flow of water." (BASE Institute) Skeptics have yet to provide an argument to counter this evidence.

Moonlight Cat Call

For about 2 weeks my cat wanted to make night time cat calls, which led to my much lack of sleep. After the ordeal I wanted to document it visually. The idea seemed comical after the fact. Done on photoshop

TMNT Faceoff
This is another piece of fanart that I decided to work on. The original drawing I did when my brother and sister-in-law came down for a visit. This was done on Photoshop.

Teruah

This was a quick color fill illustration of a sketch that I had prieviously done. I used a mock up version of photoshop from paint.net .Interestingly it does give it a more graphic look that I would expect from adobe illustrator.

Oasis
18"x24" Acrylic on Canvas
For the final in our painting class we had to select a image of various landscapes and do our rendition of the image while applying the process that we learned. This one was probably the longest of the other assignments due to the fact that much of it was done in semi transparent layers.

Abstract after Held
16"x20" Acrylic on Canvas
This is another assignment for painting class. We had to choose to do a painting after any of the various abstract artists. This one is done after artist Al Held. The assignment was a bit interesting.

Fanart of Ryu from Street Fighter II. I wanted to paint a live concept version of Ryu besides the failed movie that was Street Fighter. I may want to take another try at it or move on to another character or both.

While talking with my brother on skype, we both had a portrait illustration session on photoshop. This took 2 hours.

Herald 2009

After listening to one of my favorite evangelists and speaker in relation to how we are all to be heralds, I wanted to depict a modern urban herald. A bit juvenile, but an okay concept. Color version was done in photoshop.

The idea of programming, and the viewer. A visualization of the phrase "glued to the tv", where the mind is in the state of hypnosis and not of critical thinking. A few ideas gathered from personal experience and from observing my siblings.

Act of Repentance
18"x 24" Oil on Canvas
Otero 2009

This one took some time and planning, but was very heartfelt. I decided to use a punk because of how heavy into metal I once was in. When many hear of the Name Jesus Christ, many go into a negative mode because of it.

I myself was in this situation. So I wanted to express the Power of His Love and Majesty over the powers of darkness. I wanted to show Yeshua/Jesus effortlessly holding off the darkness yet comforting the guy.

Comfort in The Name of God
18"x 24" Oil on Canvas
Otero 2009

A Dream. It began by 2 individuals trying to convince me to play with the Name of God (play with as in distort it, curse it, etc... to see what happens). I had refused saying "..no....thats the Name of God, its holy and good. Im not going to do that"(YHVH).

After that the individuals turned into Malevolent beings. As I dwelled on his name ( and the glory/power/love ) I began to float. Enraged, they tried to grab ahold of me to bring me back down. The more I meditated on his name , the further away I drifted/ or was carried away from them.

Higher, I began to see and feel bright, vivid colors in the heavens with warm light. The feel of it was a nurturing bliss and euphoria that was indescribable.

..of course the color scheme of the color beams were actually much brighter and intense that this.

Chemicals in the Sky
18"x 24" Oil on Canvas
Otero 2007

This piece was done to address the existence of chemical trails or "chemtrails"
"If you are unfamiliar with the subject of chemtrails, you should first read this general overview of the chemtrail spraying operations which began in earnest in late 1997. Without first reading the introductory overview, it's difficult to understand the later informaiton that is being presented here. There are several key points to understand about the chemtrail spraying program.
Most people discover the reality of chemtrails by initially reading about it on the Internet and then going outside and looking up into the sky. They are shocked to realize that what they had been reading about (and studying photographs of) is also taking place right over their heads. What some people had dismissed as mere "jet plane exhaust" (because there are now scores of internet propaganda web sites trying to convince you that 'everything is well' and 'there's nothing to be alarmed about' and that unaccountable 'jet plane exhaust' plumes are magically being converted into horizon-to-horizon overcasts of "cirrus clouds" !) are dismayed to realize that chemtrails are indeed the toxin-laden aerosols that have been described here and at other web sites since 1998 and they are not being sprayed for any benign or national security reason as the disinformation peddlers would have you believe"...

The Mirage
16"x 20" Oil on Canvas
Otero 2007

With this Piece I wanted to have the theme to be more light-hearted and fanciful. I drew on my experience of waiting many times at the bus stops and contemplated a bus stop in the desert in the middle of nowhere... is that a bus or a trick of the eye?

The Purging for the Union

14"x28" Oil on canvas
Otero 2007

This is what is the idea under the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America in the name of free trade.

President Bush was pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy.

Secretly, the Bush administration was pursuing a policy to expand NAFTA politically, setting the stage for a North American Union designed to encompass the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. What the Bush administration truly wanted is the free, unimpeded movement of people across open borders with Mexico and Canada.

President Bush intended to abrogate U.S. sovereignty to the North American Union, a new economic and political entity which the President is quietly forming, much as the European Union has formed. Recently this plan has not changed much since the new president has come into office.

* In this painting notice the U.N. Flag, the European Union flag and the proposed flag of the North American Union at the very top.

36"x 24" Oil on Canvas
Otero/Chavez 2007

This piece was a combined work of both talents by my grandfather and I.

It attempts to shed light to the imperialistic move in blood for securing the region for what the administration wanted most...profits and part of what was outlined in the papers of the Project for a New American Century. My grandfather had come up with the idea for the theme and part of the composition.
